Detailed Program

Day 1: Cusco – Pillcopata
We will pick you up from your hotel in the morning and embark on our journey southeast towards Manu National Park, passing through the picturesque mountains. Along the way, we will make a stop at Ninamarca before reaching Paucartambo, an ancient pre-Spanish settlement, where we will enjoy breakfast. Continuing our journey by car, we will reach the park’s entrance gate, traversing diverse forests and keeping an eye out for wildlife. By midday, our professional chef will prepare a delicious lunch for us. Our exploration will resume, seeking out wildlife until we reach our rainforest lodge by sunset.

Day 2: Pillcopata – Lowland
After breakfast at 7 am, we will travel by car to Atalaya, where we’ll board a boat bound for the lowlands. This region offers ample opportunities to spot various animals, including monkeys, birds, otters, and the largest rodent in the world, the Capybara. We’ll visit a hot spring before reaching our lodge in the afternoon. Later, we’ll venture to a mammal clay lick, where we may encounter South America’s largest mammal, the tapir, along with deer and other wildlife.

Day 3: Exploring the Jungle
After breakfast, we’ll embark on a full day of jungle exploration, immersing ourselves in its rich biodiversity. In the evening, we’ll embark on a night walk following dinner, providing a unique perspective on nocturnal jungle life.

Day 4: Lowland – Cusco
We’ll depart early in the morning by boat, enjoying breakfast onboard as we journey back to Cusco. Lunch will be served around noon, and we aim to arrive in Cusco by 5 pm.
